Experience:

August 2011-Present: Therapist and Group Program Coordinator at The University of Colorado’s Wardenburg Health Center, Psychological Health and Psychiatry.  

Josh currently works as a therapist for students at the University of Colorado in the Wardenburg Health Center.  Josh also serves as the Group Program Coordinator for the Psychological Health and Psychiatry clinic.  In this position, Josh conducts individual therapy, couples therapy and group therapy for students at the University of Colorado.    Josh also provides crisis care for students in need of urgent care.

2010-Present:  Private practice therapist in Boulder, Colorado

2006-2011: Child and family therapist at Mental Health Partners (formerly named The Mental Health Center serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties).

In this position, Josh provides individual and family therapy, including play therapy, to clients ages 2-18.  Josh works as the child team specialist for serving complicated families with DHHS (Department of Housing and Human Services) and multi-agency involvement.  Josh leads a DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills groups for adolescents and parents.  At times, Josh also serves as individual therapist for adults ages 18-70.

2005-2006  Family therapist at Savio House in Denver, Colorado.

Josh provided intensive in-home family therapy using the Multi-systemic therapy model to adolescents and their families.  All of the families that Josh worked with were involved with the juvenile justice system and the Department of Social/Human Services.

2004-2005  Social work intern at the Psychiatric Day Treatment at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Josh provided individual, family and group therapy to children and adolescents during their time in an intensive day treatment setting. Josh worked with children, families and school systems in order to provide treatment and assure appropriate school placement after discharge from the day treatment.

2003-2004 Social Work intern at the Kempe Center in Denver, Colorado

Josh provided mentoring and advocacy for foster children.  This included weekly activities, a social skills group and advocacy for each child with different agencies and community organizations.

2001-2003  Mental Health WorkerI/II at Devereux Cleo Wallace in Westminster, Colorado

Josh worked as a direct care staff for children and adolescents in a residential treatment center. Josh provided milieu structure, support and therapeutic groups on the residential units.
